Who we are

DevFuture is a software studio based at 14 Hanover Quay, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2, Ireland. For the personal data described below, we are the data controller.

You can reach us about anything on this page at support@devfuture.pro. We answer data-protection questions within 30 days, and usually far sooner.

What we collect, and when

We collect personal data in three situations, and no others.

When you submit the contact form or the cost calculator, we receive the details you enter: your name and message, plus whichever of email address, phone number, budget range, project type and preferred timeline you choose to provide. Name and message are required; you must give either an email address or a phone number so we can reply, but not both.

If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records usage data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Decline, and none of this is collected.

When your browser requests a page, our hosting provider logs the request, including IP address and user agent, as a normal part of serving and securing the site.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote — necessary for steps taken at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
• To understand how the site is used and improve it — your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time (Article 6(1)(a)). No analytics run without it.
• To keep the site available and secure, and to prevent abuse of our forms — our legitimate interest in protecting the service (Article 6(1)(f)).
• To meet legal and accounting obligations where a project goes ahead — compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell your data, or send you marketing you did not ask for

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not add enquiries to a marketing list. If you contact us and we do not end up working together, the only messages you will get from us are replies to your own.

Who else processes it

We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Each one below receives data because the service could not run without it.

• Telegram — when you submit a form, the details you entered are delivered to our team as a Telegram message so we see new enquiries promptly. This means your enquiry is transmitted through Telegram’s infrastructure, which is operated outside the European Economic Area.
• Google (Google Analytics 4) — website usage data, as described above.
• Our hosting and content-delivery provider — serves the site and keeps request logs.
• Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some of the providers above process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Where that happens, transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions where one applies, or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

If you would rather your enquiry did not travel that path, email us directly at support@devfuture.pro instead of using the form, and tell us so.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, so we have context if you come back to us, then deleted.
• Project correspondence and records: for the duration of the engagement and for 6 years afterwards, to meet Irish tax and limitation-period requirements.
• Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics for 14 months from collection.
• Server request logs: a rolling short-term window kept by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics.

Cookies and analytics

The site stores your light or dark theme preference, and your answer to the cookie banner, in your browser. Both are strictly necessary for those settings to work and neither says anything about you personally.

Google Analytics is not loaded until you accept it. If you decline, or simply have not answered yet, no Analytics script runs, no request goes to Google, and no analytics cookie is set — the choice is enforced by not loading the tag at all, rather than by loading it and asking it to behave.

You can change your mind whenever you like: the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page reopens the banner. Declining costs you nothing — the site works identically either way.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time and we will stop unless we have compelling grounds not to.

To exercise any of these, email support@devfuture.pro. We will not charge you, and we will not ask you to justify the request.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated server-side, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not store more than we need, which is the most reliable protection there is.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date below. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page rather than made quietly.
